About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sales Planning Analyst to join our team at Daikin. As a key member of our sales and inventory management team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate sales forecasts, inventory plans, and reports to support business growth and optimization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts by product class and SKU, taking into account market trends, customer demand, and competitor activity.
  • Inventory Planning: Create and maintain inventory plans by product class and SKU, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing stockouts and overstocking.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and compile sales and margin reports, as well as analyze large amounts of sales and inventory data to inform business decisions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to optimize sales and inventory management processes.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Logistics, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in quantitative business analysis, forecasting, and production planning.
  • Skills: Advanced Excel skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Language: Bilingual Japanese/English.
