Job Summary:

This is a 9.5 month position working with K-5th grade students in the before school care program located at Bridgeway Elementary School.

The position hours will be from 7:00 a.m. - 8:45 a.m, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership qualities, ability to coordinate, inspire and motivate others. They will be responsible for supervising and supporting students, standing, walking, talking, listening, stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning and reaching. They must work in noisy and crowded environments and have experience in working with children. They will also be able to work well and effectively communicate with children and their parents. Additionally, they will have skills in first aid and be able to develop, coordinate, direct, and supervise varied after school program activities. They will also be able to follow verbal and written instructions. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will have a strong commitment to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for students.Qualifications:
  • ~60 hours of approved college credit
  • ~Strong leadership qualities ability to coordinate, inspire and motivate others
  • ~Can be depended on each day to be on time and to be at work each day to supervise and support students
  • ~Requires standing, walking, talking, listening, stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning and reaching
  • ~Must work in noisy and crowded environments
  • ~Experience in working with children
  • ~Ability to work well and effectively communicate with children and their parents
