Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Floor Care Specialist to join our team at King County. As a key member of our Facilities Management Division, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities. Your expertise in floor care will ensure that our buildings are safe, healthy, and welcoming for our employees, visitors, and the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Restore various floors with specialized equipment
  • Strip and wax floors with specialized equipment
  • Steam clean and extract carpets with specialized equipment
  • Perform assigned maintenance to various floors utilizing specialized equipment
  • Maintain assigned equipment and tools
  • Safely operate equipment and County-owned vehicles
Requirements
  • At least one year of demonstrated building maintenance, floorcare or custodial experience
  • Demonstrated skill operating specialized floor equipment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic janitorial cleaning techniques and standards
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, and lift, carry, move or handle up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to communicate effectively, report concerns / issues in a timely manner
