Bridge Superintendent

William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is seeking a highly skilled Bridge Superintendent to join their team in Springfield, IL. This role requires travel to job sites in Southern IL and surrounding states, with eventual relocation to Illinois a possibility.

As a Bridge Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of bridges and other heavy civil infrastructure projects. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

• Attend pre-job meetings and review project scopes with the Project Manager and Area Manager
• Set up job sites and ensure that all necessary equipment and materials are on hand
• Communicate effectively with IDOT, inspectors, subcontractors, and owners to ensure smooth project execution
• Supervise on-site employees and coordinate subcontractor operations
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company policies
• Generate a two-week look-ahead schedule and verify utility locates before excavation
• Maintain tools and equipment, and ensure maximum equipment utilization

• Minimum GED or High School Diploma
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Bridge Superintendent or in a related field
