Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team at WeldFit. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for the fit-up and assembly of pipe spools and assorted diameter pipe fittings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and set up tools and equipment for assembly as per contract drawings.
  • Maintain and store custom-made fit-up gears, such as shims, clamps, and pull/push bars.
  • Ensure good housekeeping in your work area.
  • Take care of equipment, including welding machines and turning rolls.
  • Double-check parts and components before assembly.
  • Verify completed work before final welding to ensure conformity to drawings and procedures.
  • Communicate with the welding lead on safety, productivity, and quality aspects of work.
  • Achieve high production with good quality output.
  • Work and think safety at all times.
Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb.
  • Capability of lifting up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • High level of manual dexterity.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to distinguish various colors/color coding.
  • Ability to pass vision test.
  • Willingness to admit to hearing baseline test.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience working on pipe spool and/or assorted diameter pipe fittings.
