Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa. As a Grounds Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's grounds and public areas, ensuring they are clean, safe, and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain public hotel areas and hotel grounds according to established brand and hotel guest service standards.
Manually water plants and flowers, and maintain plant life throughout the hotel.
Weed, mulch, and trim trees as necessary or as directed.
Clean hotel grounds and remove litter and trash on a daily and consistent basis.
Maintain daily upkeep of property buildings and grounds, including removing, cleaning, and replacing trash bins, and upkeep of the hotel's trash room.
Care for, maintain, and inventory grounds keeping supplies used as part of the grounds keeper role, ensuring they are safe and in good working conditions.
Clean and remove accumulated debris and trash from the canal adjacent to the hotel's restaurant.
Sweep or blow hotel roadside entrances, walkways, and hotel back areas.
Perform daily walk-throughs of the hotel grounds, identifying, reporting, and addressing areas with immediate grounds keeping needs.
Continuously monitor work areas for safety and sanitation, ensuring clean and clear sidewalks and driveways for a safe environment for associates and hotel guests.
Maintain a clean, clear, and presentable pool area, including organizing pool chairs, tables, and clearing trash and debris.
Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program.
Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements:

High School diploma and trade school coursework in related fields preferred.
Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required.

Work Environment:

Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends and alternate shifts.
Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, crawling, and climbing.
