As a key member of our kitchen team, you'll have the opportunity to develop your culinary skills, work with a talented team, and contribute to the success of our restaurant.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including vegetables, proteins, and grains, using recipes as a guide and your own culinary expertise.
- Gain exposure to different stations within the kitchen, including garde manger, grill, roast, market line, guest concierge, and delivery/packout.
- Develop your communication skills by speaking with guests about current menu offerings, seasonality, and ingredients, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Work collaboratively with the team during peak and off-peak service, pitching in wherever and whenever necessary.
- Multi-task and move efficiently in the kitchen, meeting the physical demands of the role.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety and quality, adhering to Department of Health and DIG food safety standards.
- Demonstrate professionalism and uphold DIG's anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies.
- A passion for real, good food and a desire to learn and develop your culinary skills.
