We are seeking a highly skilled and friendly Guest Service Representative to join our team at Viejas Casino. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, handling room reservations, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience.
Key Responsibilities- Process room reservations, registrations, check-ins/check-outs, requests, changes, and cancellations.
- Offer guests alternative room options and upsell rooms when possible.
- Process all payment types, including adjustments, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges.
- Handle monies, receipts, guest accounts, and other forms of credit.
- Complete cashier's reports, prepare deposits, and count cashier bank at the end of the shift using computerized or manual systems.
- Assist with making room reservations.
- Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
- Identify and explain room features to guests.
- Act as a concierge, providing guests with directions and information about property amenities, services, and local areas of interest.
- Answer telephone calls, respond to guest requests, and follow through to ensure a satisfactory outcome.
- Make other reservations, such as restaurant reservations.
- Maintain and organize the work area, lobby, and front desk area.
- Arrange transportation for guests and visitors.
- Partner with and assist other team members to promote a team environment and achieve common goals.
- Notify Security of any guest reports of theft.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment.
- Adhere to all company and department policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 1-2 years of related experience and/or training.
- Guest service experience preferred.
- Ability to type 35 WPM.
- Ability to effectively communicate with guests and team members verbally or in written form.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
