Job Title: RN - ICU Neuro

Job Summary:

Eden Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As a Neuro ICU Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to patients with neurological conditions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment:
    • Conduct thorough neurological assessments and monitor vital signs.
    • Evaluate changes in patients' conditions and respond accordingly.
  • Care Coordination:
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including neurologists, neurosurgeons, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patients' needs.
  • Medication Administration:
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
    • Monitor patients for side effects and therapeutic responses.
  • Monitoring:
    • Use advanced monitoring equipment to track neurological status and overall health.
    • Recognize and act on signs of deterioration in patients' conditions.
  • Patient Education:
    • Provide education to patients and families about neurological disorders, treatment plans, and recovery processes.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
    • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in real-time.
  • Crisis Management:
    • Respond to emergencies, including seizures or changes in consciousness.
    • Implement life-saving interventions as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable.
