We are seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Treatment Specialist to join our team at Veolia Environnement SA. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining water/wastewater treatment facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and control water/wastewater treatment processes to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collect and analyze water and sewage samples to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Operate and maintain equipment, including pumps, engines, and chemical feed systems, to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Clean and maintain equipment, tanks, and work areas to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
- Inspect equipment and facilities regularly to identify potential hazards and implement preventive maintenance.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Bachelor's degree in a science or technical field, such as environmental science, chemistry, or engineering.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in water/wastewater treatment operations, with a strong understanding of treatment processes and regulatory requirements.
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Associate's degree in a science or technical field.
- Intermediate level water and/or wastewater treatment certificate.
- CDL and Hoisting certification.
- Wastewater 3 certification.
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to chemicals, heavy machinery, and other hazards. The employee must be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
