Job Title: Resident Caregiver

ProMedica Memory Care Monroeville is seeking a part-time Resident Caregiver to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional care and support to seniors with memory impairments.

Job Summary:

The Resident Caregiver will assist residents in all aspects of their daily life, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs. This role requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to the constant interaction with residents and families.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks
  • Perform housekeeping and laundry duties
  • Manage resident behavior and provide emotional support
  • Participate in activities and social events to promote resident engagement and well-being
  • Provide information and support to residents and families
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner
  • Knowledge and experience in working with elderly; previous dementia experience preferred
  • Certification required according to state regulations
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis
