We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at the University of Miami/UHealth. As a CRNA, you will work in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other medical professionals to deliver high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing medical and surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Work in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other medical professionals to deliver anesthesia care.
- Perform pre-operative assessments, prepare patients for anesthesia, and administer and maintain anesthesia to ensure proper sedation and pain management.
- Oversee patient recovery from anesthesia and provide care for immediate post-operative needs.
- Responsible for pre-operative assessment of surgical patients and administering anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist.
- Perform pre- and post-anesthesia patient visits and document anesthesia notes on patient records.
- Review medical history, evaluate patients, and determine proper methods of anesthesia.
- Perform or evaluate diagnostic tests, such as radiographs and electrocardiograms.
- Monitor patient vital signs to ensure safety and inform physicians of patient condition during anesthesia.
- Manage patients' airway or pulmonary status using techniques such as endotracheal intubation, mechanical ventilation, and pharmacological support.
- Develop anesthesia care plans and adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures.
- Master's degree from an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia Program.
- Valid Florida CRNA license.
- BLS/ACLS/PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of two years of experience preferred.
