Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Goodwill of North Georgia. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for collecting and transporting donated merchandise while providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Donated Merchandise: Safely collect and transport donated merchandise to various locations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, including donors, recipients, and other stakeholders.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain vehicles to agency standards, including regular inspections and maintenance.
  • Safety and Security: Comply with Goodwill of North Georgia's safety and security policies and procedures, including Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) regulations.
  • Logistics and Coordination: Assist in loading and unloading of trailers, secure truck/trailer loads at each stop prior to departure, and complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections as required.
Requirements
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B: Must have and maintain a valid Georgia issued CDL Class B license.
  • High School Diploma or GED: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: No experience required; however, 1+ years of experience is preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to meet all physical requirements to perform the duties of the position, including the ability to bend, reach, grasp, stand, walk, and/or drive for extended periods of time.
Working Environment

Must be able to work Monday through Sunday during operating hours as needed for business operations. Must start employment in acceptable safety work shoes.
