In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting cruise line guests to various tour venues and cruise ship terminals. You'll also provide engaging narrated tours within our 14-passenger Transit Vans, sharing fascinating details and stories about the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and reliable transportation for guests, prioritizing excellent customer service.
- Deliver informative and entertaining narrated tours during vehicle travel and at designated tour stops.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking vehicles, ensuring a smooth and efficient transfer process.
- Manage guest tickets and itineraries, providing clear instructions and information.
- Maintain accurate records of passenger counts, driving routes, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance tasks to ensure optimal vehicle condition.
- Communicate effectively with dock staff, cruise line partners, and tour venue representatives.
- Report any accidents, injuries, unsafe working conditions, or damages promptly.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the local area and navigate efficiently to various destinations.
- Adhere to all state traffic laws and maintain valid driving documents.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in customer service or tourism is highly desirable.
- Possess a valid driver's license issued by your state of residency.
- Maintain a clean driving record with a history of safe driving practices.
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
- Ability to regularly lift objects weighing between 5 and 100 pounds.
- Physical capability to perform tasks such as standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent personal hygiene and professional appearance.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English fluently.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Must be free from the influence of drugs and alcohol while performing job duties.
- Authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
