Compensation: $90,000 - $135,000 with quarterly bonuses
Aegis Worldwide is collaborating with a prominent organization in the bespoke manufacturing sector seeking to recruit a Lead Manufacturing Engineer. This position offers a 6% 401K matching contribution, unlimited paid time off, and a comprehensive wellness initiative. The selected candidate will dedicate approximately 75% of their time on the production floor, engaging with machinists and addressing technical challenges. The remaining 25% will involve drafting protocols, establishing standards, enhancing workflows, and managing documentation.
Key Qualifications:
· Extensive experience in a machining setting
o Ideally, 10 years of experience, though candidates with slightly less may still be considered
· Expertise in CNC machining, particularly in developing parts from inception and participating in initial production runs
o The ideal candidate should possess troubleshooting skills for both components and machinery
· Proficient in CNC Lathe operations
o The facility is equipped with a higher number of lathes than mills, making lathe experience essential; familiarity with mills is advantageous
· Experience in programming CNC machines using CAM software; familiarity with Esprit is preferred, but experience with Mastercam or other CAM software is acceptable
· Strong understanding of GD&T; candidates should come from a precision-focused industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of secondary processing techniques (methods to enhance the surface quality of metal components) - candidates seeking compensation closer to the upper range should have a solid grasp of these processes.
o This includes deburring, engraving, heat treating, plating, painting, anodizing, or non-destructive testing
· Experience managing the entire manufacturing workflow from inception to completion.
o It is crucial to ensure candidates have a comprehensive understanding of their involvement in the process and the improvements they have implemented
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering
· Familiarity with CNC tooling
· Proven track record of process improvements within manufacturing
· Background in the Aerospace sector
· Experience with CAD and ERP systems
o Open to various software platforms
