Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is around $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. As an Advanced Practice Provider at Texas Oncology, you will be offered competitive salaries with potential for productivity-related compensation. Additionally, you will have a generous CME budget as well as an annual allotment of education days.
Job Description
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will provide direct diagnostic and therapeutic patient care, in collaboration with practice physicians. Your primary role will be to manage patients' symptoms, counsel and support them, collaborate with other healthcare providers, and provide education to staff, students, and the community.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Master's degree in Nursing or a related field, and be certified as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Clinical Nurse Specialist. You should also have at least 3 years of experience in a related field and be proficient in using electronic health records.
Work Environment
As an Advanced Practice Provider at Texas Oncology, you will work in a busy and well-established cancer center, providing care to patients in an outpatient setting. You will be required to stand and walk for extensive periods of time, lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds, and be exposed to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment.
