Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of ultrasound exams on perinatal patients for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate various types of ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images and measurements.
  • Exercise independent judgment to determine the necessary views for accurate diagnosis.
  • Prepare patients for exams and assist perinatologists as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of fetal anatomy and normal/abnormal findings.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest ultrasound technology and techniques to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Ultrasound Technology or related field.
  • Registration in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required.
  • First Trimester Certification and Fetal Medicine Foundation Nuchal Translucency certification preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in ultrasound imaging, preferably in a perinatal setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and special project assignments.
