Position Purpose: The primary role of the Speech Language Pathologist is to evaluate students' speech and language development, including receptive and expressive language skills, speech production, and social communication. The goal is to identify students who may require special education services and assist them in achieving their speech and language objectives.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $85,000 annually, along with a signing bonus of $2500.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments of students' speech and language skills to determine their eligibility for special education services.
  • Design and implement individualized speech-language therapy programs tailored to each student's needs.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers, administrators, and families regarding speech and language development.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and treatment plans to track student progress.
  • Engage with various stakeholders to share information about student needs and program effectiveness.
  • Research and apply appropriate intervention techniques and assessment tools.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Valid SLP/SLT license in Arizona.
  • Current Department of Education SLP/SLT license in Arizona.
  • AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Fulfill continuing education requirements as mandated by AzDHS.
Work Environment:
  • Occasional exposure to environmental factors such as dust and pollen.
  • Physical demands include frequent movement, lifting, and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Moderate to high noise levels may be present in the work environment.
