Pipefitter

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team at FutureFuel Chemical Company. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, altering, and repairing piping systems in accordance with engineering standards and best practices.

• Perform highly-skilled piping work involving the assembly, installation, alteration, and repair of piping systems.
• Determine the most efficient and effective means of facilitating work to reduce cost and minimize downtime.
• Operate power tools and use hand tools as needed.
• Determine the proper methods and install a wide variety of piping systems.
• Plan and perform the fabrication, assembly, installation, alteration, and repair of various piping systems.
• Lay out work using a rule, square, pattern, template, or other measurement device(s) to facilitate piping jobs.
• Perform the phases of pipefitting work for all pressure classes, including threaded, welded, and lined piping.
• Draw isometric drawings of piping systems that can be understood and piping fabricated by others.
• Work from Piping and Instrumentation drawings, Isometric drawings, sketches, oral instructions to fabricate and install piping.
• Follow proper rigging and hoisting practices as required.
• Attend special schools or training sessions concerning new piping systems or techniques, skills or methods, and train others in the crew techniques thus acquired.
• Clean up job site at end of each job or shift by returning all tools, materials, and supplies to the proper location and properly dispose of all scrap.
• Work with and direct the work of other personnel as required.
• Operate man-lifts and skyjack. Also drive company vehicles to/from job sites. Must have a valid Arkansas Driver's license.
• Plan and schedule work as needed with Maintenance Coordinators.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
• Communicate effectively in order to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Complete required safety training as directed. Will comply with all established departmental, company, and OSHA safety regulations.

• Pipefitters must satisfactorily pass a respirator fit test and be capable of working near rotating and moving machinery.
• Assignment to this classification requires the completion of the FutureFuel Chemical Company Pipefitter's Test or four years' applicable experience.
• Strong math knowledge.
• Be familiar with different pipe specifications, standards, and details.
• Be familiar with reading and drawing isometric drawings.
• Possess pipefitter handbook and be familiar with using it.
• Be able to perform all of the essential elements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Have successfully completed the FutureFuel Chemical Company Pipefitter's Test or equivalent.
• Be capable of clear, concise verbal, and written communications.
• Possess and practice good organizational skills.
• Be capable of interfacing with various levels of company management, employees, external contacts.
• Must be a team player.
• Be willing and capable to work varied and rotating shift schedules according to business needs.
• Required to wear FR clothing.
• Acquire and maintain personal tools.
