Job Summary
The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing shift operations, guest satisfaction, and sales performance in our restaurants. In the absence of the manager, they work productively and supervise team members to ensure excellent customer service and profitability during their shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve customers correctly, complete orders within time goals, and follow customer service standards.
- Lead team members on shifts, assigning tasks, providing feedback, and training.
- Utilize huddle boards to position teams effectively.
- Know and support personnel policies, labor laws, and safety procedures.
- Ensure all security procedures are executed.
- Transition into opening and closing duties.
- Make guests happy by providing great service.
- Resolve guest complaints and issues.
- Manage and organize lines, delegating duties to team members.
- Promote sales through suggestive selling and knowledge of promotions.
- Execute food safety requirements and practices.
- Control costs, labor, waste, and cash on the shift.
- Count drawers and follow daily cash handling procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum 18 years old.
- Previous experience in restaurants, retail, or customer contact roles preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Literally authorized to work in the United States.
- Strong communication skills for effective guest and coworker interactions.
- Positive attitude and ethics supporting our company values and culture.
- Ability to train and coach others.
- Standard schedule of 20-30 hours per week.
- Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 55 pounds.
- Squatting, crouching, twisting, and bending.
Salary Estimate: $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Benefits include 401(k) and vacation time.
