Administrative Analyst

The County of Yuba is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Analyst to support the operations of County Departments, agencies, and programs. This is a journey-level classification in the professional Analyst series.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct analytical, organizational, and operational studies, including staffing, systems, policy, procedural, and legislative analysis.
- Consult with managers to determine parameters for analysis and other background information.
- Research laws and other regulatory requirements governing governmental operations.
- Interpret and apply rules, regulations, and policies.
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of management reports.
- Present background information and description of analytical standards.
- Outline findings and recommendations and prepare logical supporting documentation.
- Write or assist in writing final reports and documentation for evaluation by management.
- Present reports, including formal presentation to groups.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a field related to the work.
- One year of experience performing increasingly responsible administrative analysis or departmental administrative and/or project support.
- Strong progressively responsible administrative experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
- Two years of experience at least equivalent to the County's class of Administrative Technician.
- Must successfully complete an extensive and thorough background investigation which includes Live Scan fingerprinting.
- May be required to file statements of economic interest with the Yuba County Clerk/Recorder.
- Will be required to perform disaster service activities pursuant to Government Code 3100-3109.
