Key Responsibilities
The Physical Therapist (PT, DPT, RPT) in Home Health is responsible for assessing and evaluating patient care needs related to:
- Functional status and mobility
- Endurance and stamina
- Pain management and other medical conditions
Based on your assessments, you will develop treatment plans, implement interventions to enhance patient well-being, and monitor progress effectively.
- Evaluate patients' functional status and therapy needs, collaborating with physicians to create comprehensive care plans.
- Monitor and report on patients' responses to treatment and any changes in their conditions to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Administer treatments aimed at alleviating pain, restoring function, and maintaining optimal physical capabilities.
- Educate patients, families, and healthcare team members about the care plan, functional limitations, and progress towards rehabilitation goals.
Licensure and Certification Requirements
- Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance, along with access to reliable transportation.
Additional State Requirements:
- For Arkansas, there are no additional state-specific requirements.
