About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Per Diem Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary pediatric rehabilitation team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to provide a full range of occupational therapy services in a home care setting, supporting children through Early Intervention and children up to age 18.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing assessments of current status and implement treatment plans, including specific therapeutic exercises/activities and instruction in using adaptive techniques and equipment.
  • Teach patients and caregivers about their conditions and OT treatment plans, self-treatment and care.
  • Confer regularly with supervisor, other clinical team members, departmental office staff, and other UVMHN Home Health & Hospice personnel to plan and coordinate activities, consult on cases, exchange information, investigate and resolve problems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy.
  • One or more years of general OT experience with Bachelor's degree.
  • Vermont Occupational Therapy licensure.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable, registered vehicle with insurance.
Working Conditions
  • Traveling is required.
  • May work in community-based settings (childcare centers), and clients' homes and outdoors.
Performance Requirements
  • Provide high-quality occupational therapy services to patients in their homes.
  • Meet performance standards, including providing ongoing assessments, implementing treatment plans, and teaching patients and caregivers.
  • Comply with organization policies and procedures, and demonstrate respectful and effective communication in all interactions.
