Job Title: Speech Language Pathology Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at Crotched Mountain School. The successful candidate will provide assessment and treatment of elementary- and/or secondary school-aged children with developmental or acquired disorders, including neurological, physical, psychiatric, and/or multiple disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the delivery of comprehensive speech-language therapeutic services and supports to students within their natural environments.
  • Document student performance and report this information to the supervising speech language pathologist.
  • Assist the SLP during the assessment of students and utilize effective approaches to treatment that reflect best practice.
  • Carry out all responsibilities in a professional, ethical, and efficient manner.
  • Participate on an interdisciplinary team for each client together with the supervising SLP.
  • Prepare necessary therapy materials and participate in program planning, in-service training, and activities within the department.
  • Maintain confidential records and complete mandated reports as per regulations.

Requirements:

  • Two-year Associates degree or higher in speech-language pathology, communication sciences and disorders, or communication disorders awarded by an educational program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • NH Speech Language Pathology Assistant license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Computer literacy/proficiency, including experience working within electronic health records (EHRs).
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and maintain confidentiality.

Working Conditions:

The employee must be able to drive, travel may be required, and be physically able to perform job responsibilities including actively moving, standing, walking, using hands, reaching with hands and arms, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
