Job Summary

UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our Imaging Services team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for patient diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, including explaining the process and positioning them for optimal image quality.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient procedures and image quality.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest MRI technology and techniques.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Current ARRT certification in Radiography.
  • 2+ years of experience in MRI imaging, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma Center or teaching facility.
  • Experience with Siemens MRI equipment required.
  • Epic and PACS experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced certifications in MRI, such as CMR or CMI.
  • Experience with anesthesia and pediatric patients.
  • Knowledge of MRI safety protocols and guidelines.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
