Curren Powersports is a family-owned and operated dealer in Pine City, NY, catering to customers with a diverse range of powersports products. With a focus on excellent customer service and a deep understanding of ATVs, SXSs, and other powersports equipment, they're seeking a skilled Service Advisor to support their customers.

The right candidate should possess excellent communication skills, both in-person and over the phone, and have a solid knowledge of powersports components. They must also have reliable transportation and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

This role involves assisting local customers in-store while providing support to customers nationwide via phone, live chat, and email. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing service department schedules, creating repair orders, and serving as a liaison between customers and the service department.

Key responsibilities include providing customer assistance, utilizing computers to search diagrams and manuals for the correct parts, and ensuring a positive relationship with customers is maintained through friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff.

The ideal candidate will have customer service or retail experience, knowledge of ATVs and SXSs, and a good understanding of engine and other powersports parts and service. They will also possess excellent telephone manner and customer service skills, be self-motivated, and able to work under minimal supervision.

The estimated salary for this position is around $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience and location. Benefits include health insurance, dental and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401K plan with company contribution.

Essential job functions include:

  • Managing service department schedules and ensuring techs have what they need to do the job
  • Creating repair orders and serving as the liaison between the customer and service department
  • Providing customer assistance by phone, email, live chat, and over the counter
  • Utilizing computers to search diagrams and manuals for the correct parts
  • Ensuring a positive relationship with customers continues through friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff
  • Assisting service techs in finding needed parts and charging to the repair order

Essential job skills include:

  • Customer Service or Retail Experience
  • Knowledge of ATVs, SXSs, UTVs a must; Knowledge of Trailers, or Compact Tractors, a plus
  • Good understanding of engine and other powersports parts and service
  • Personable, good listener, detail-oriented
  • Good sales skills
  • Problem solver
  • Good telephone manner and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision
  • Able to work as an individual as well as part of a team
  • Takes direction well, coachable
  • The ability to read service manuals/schematics/diagrams
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Able to learn and recognize parts and identify needed replacement parts
  • Able to work Saturdays
  • Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending
  • May lift up to 50 lbs; May lift heavier objects in team or with assistive devices
