We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to take on the role of Squad Leader at our award-winning Centennial Park Aquatic Center (CPAC). As a Squad Leader, you will be responsible for promoting excellent customer service and overseeing the daily operations of your squad and designated facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly monitor the daily performance of a squad of lifeguards and assigned team leaders.
  • Inform the manager-on-duty of any staff concerns, disciplinary matters, and patron or facility issues that arise.
  • Teach safety, rescue, and first aid protocols to lifeguards as outlined in the training curriculum.
  • Supervise the activity of your assigned pool and surrounding deck.
  • Collaborate with the manager-on-duty to lead pre-shift and evening in-service trainings.
  • Verify daily hours and calculate the running total of hours worked by staff each week.
  • Meet weekly with Team Leaders to review feedback and ensure each lifeguard team is performing as expected.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A high school diploma is required; completion of some college coursework is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have been an effective CPAC Team Leader.
  • Must attend and complete all necessary pre-season and in-service trainings and meetings.
  • Must successfully earn a StarGuard Elite (SGE) Lifeguard Instructor Star-1 Certification by completing land and water training/test out sessions.
