Job Summary

Wabtec Corporation is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for freight and transit rail. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Requirements
  • Requires a high school diploma/GED or 2 years related work experience.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Quality and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to cooperate and interpersonal skills to work effectively as a team member.
