Role Overview:

The Senior Technical Engineer collaborates with our Staff and Senior Engineers to conceptualize and construct innovative systems, refine and upgrade existing solutions, and discover new avenues to leverage your expertise in addressing critical challenges. You will spearhead the strategy and implementation of a technical roadmap aimed at accelerating product delivery and unlocking new engineering capabilities. Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Technical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Concentrating on various domains and providing technical and intellectual leadership across the organization Partnering with product managers, team members, clients, and other engineering teams to tackle our most challenging issues Formulating and executing a technical software development strategy across diverse domains Ensuring the quality, usability, and performance of the solutions delivered Utilizing programming languages such as Python, C#, or other object-oriented languages, SQL, and NoSQL databases, along with Container Orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of Azure tools and services Acting as a role model and mentor, aiding in the development and enhancement of the technical skills and knowledge within our engineering and product community. Influencing and educating executives Regularly sharing best practices and refining processes within and across teams Analyzing costs and forecasting, integrating them into business strategies Identifying and supporting resource needs, assessing operational processes, measuring outcomes to ensure desired results, and demonstrating adaptability while promoting continuous learning

Required Qualifications:

Strong understanding of UI/UX and prototype design Experience in digital asset management, personalization, and leveraging web analytics data to enhance the online customer experience Familiarity with SEO best practices, Content Management, including implementation solution design and processing rule sets Proficiency in HTML5, React, Redux, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, JSON, RESTful Web Services, NodeJS, and Event Driven Architectures Strong knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) Experience with Project Management and work item management tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA Exceptional ability to design, conduct experiments, and influence engineering direction and product roadmap Proven track record of collaborating with engineering teams and transitioning research to production History of publications in reputable conferences and journals Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code In-depth understanding of computer science data structures and algorithms Ability to solve analytical problems using quantitative methods Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment Knowledge of developer tools throughout the software development lifecycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication) Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, including object-oriented design Experience with microservices architecture and extensible REST APIs Familiarity with AI/ML and data-driven integration with backend systems Experience in designing and architecting new and existing systems (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scalability) Fluency in DevOps concepts, Cloud architecture, and Azure DevOps operational frameworks Experience with application monitoring tools and performance evaluations Knowledge of security protocols and products: Understanding of Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, OAuth Familiarity with Azure Networking (Subscription, Security zoning, etc.)

Experience:

10+ years of professional software development experience within a Java framework (J2EE, web containers, and Java) 8+ years of experience in architecture and design 6+ years of experience with open-source frameworks 4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience

Annual Salary:

$110, $261,500.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
