As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our PreOperative/PACU department, you will be an integral part of our team, providing personalized attention and compassionate care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated RN with a strong background in medical/surgical nursing and experience in preoperative or PACU settings. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing patients' preoperative and postoperative status, developing individualized plans of care, and implementing evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to prioritize tasks, manage multiple patients, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver seamless care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient's preoperative and postoperative status at intervals according to facility policies and procedures
  • Develop individualized plans of care, considering patients' physical and emotional needs
  • Implement evidence-based practices to promote patient safety and well-being
  • Evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as needed
  • Transfer care to other healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate and concise hand-offs
Requirements
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
  • One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required
  • Medical/surgical nursing experience
  • Current state licensure to practice within good standing
