Key Responsibilities- Implement and maintain programs, adhering to policies and patient care delivery standards of care in assigned departments.
- Lead the delivery of patient care services on the shift to assure patient-centered care needs are met and quality, cost-effective care is delivered.
- Serve as a behavioral role model and promote an awareness and understanding of positive ethical and moral principles.
- Act as a nursing clinical subject matter expert.
- Function as a mentor and coach.
- Assist with preparation of unit schedules.
- Establish daily work plans for team of employees.
- Schedule staff for attendance at and completion of mandatory education.
- Maintain current staff certifications per regulatory requirements.
- Guide peer interviewing process in the selection of unit staff.
- Provide input and feedback to the nurse manager in regards to team performance management.
- Assist in development and achievement of departmental budgets and goals.
- Assist with payroll activities such as monitoring timekeeping.
- Effectively manage material and supply usage.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Specialty certification (ex: CCRN, CNOR, CEN) preferred.
