Job Title: Culinary Specialist - Airport Kitchen

Overview

JACKMONT HOSPITALITY INC is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Newark Liberty International Airport. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food according to recipe requirements and maintaining the highest standards of excellence.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Prepare a wide variety of foods according to recipe requirements, adhering to product sensitivities and plate presentation guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including keeping equipment properly maintained and sanitized throughout the shift.
  • Communicate effectively with service staff, kitchen staff, and managers to ensure seamless food preparation and service.
  • Stay up-to-date on recipe changes and ensure proper execution of procedures to maintain a high-quality and consistent product.
  • Meet the physical demands of the role, including frequently lifting and carrying up to 70 lbs.
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates must possess:

  • A strong background in culinary arts, preferably in a fast-paced airport kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Able to pass the federal TSA background check.
  • A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation (may be required for certain shifts).
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $65,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, employees are eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.

This is a full-time position, requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. A flexible schedule may be available, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
