About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sorter to join our team at Commercial Metals Company. As a Sorter, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, operating production equipment, and participating in our CMC Safety Programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Operate production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and uphold the CMC Safety Culture.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Able to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in either recycling and/or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Previous experience operating forklift, skid steer, loader or similar equipment.
  • Prior knowledge of metal identification is a plus.
