Job Summary

University Radiology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Radiology Technologist to join our team in Neptune, NJ. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for leading a team of technologists and ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fulfill all the requirements of a Staff Technologist, including performing radiology procedures and maintaining equipment.
  • Act as a liaison between radiologists, clinical staff, and management to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, handling communication and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Responsible for ensuring effective communication with vendors and service personnel.
  • Stay up-to-date with established departmental policies and procedures, and inform staff members of any changes or updates.
  • Assist in obtaining ACR certification for mammography and biopsy procedures.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, completing all required documentation to ensure continuous improvement of patient care.
  • Assist with the maintenance of supplies and equipment, and notify team members of any equipment downtime.
  • Responsible for all quality control testing as established by the manufacturer and Radiation Safety Officer.
  • Work schedule may change to accommodate evening or weekend shifts based on staffing, volume, and unexpected issues.
  • Responsible for taking calls from staff members when they need assistance or are late to work.
  • Provide feedback to management and may be required to complete employee performance evaluations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • ARRT (R)(M) certification
  • 5+ years of current diagnostic 3D mammography experience
  • NJ State License and CPR certification
  • Graduate of accredited program
