Job Summary:The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will be responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on the patient's needs and priorities through comprehensive assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate patients to determine care needs and priorities.
- Plan, implement, and document individualized nursing care for patients.
- Initiate assessment based on the patient's problems, physician's medical diagnosis, and functional health framework.
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions.
- Manage the care of patients throughout their stay.
- Document care based on standards of care, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
- Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
- Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Advanced Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) or Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
36 hours per week, 12 hours per day, 3 days per week, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, with required weekends and holidays.
