Decorah Bank & Trust is seeking a highly motivated Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate efforts to maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the facilities.
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways, stairs, common areas, and office spaces.
  • Clean bathrooms, breakrooms, kitchenettes, waiting areas, and other meeting spaces.
  • Empty garbage containers and cardboard recycling.
  • Perform minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.
  • Notify management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
  • Perform grounds keeping duties as assigned.
Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
