Essential Qualifications:
- Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Basic arithmetic skills and the ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism and courtesy when interacting with the public.
- Exceptional customer service abilities.
- Competence in using standard computer applications, including keyboard and mouse operations.
- Capability to operate a golf cart.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are mandatory for this position.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Minimum age requirement of 16 years.
Required Education and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as a Tourism Ambassador is preferred or the willingness to obtain it, with training provided by the employer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster positive public relations through friendly and accurate communication with park visitors.
- Collect admission fees and distribute tickets and wristbands to guests.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and maintain the cash drawer throughout the shift.
- Prepare daily financial reports and ensure all transactions are reconciled.
- Maintain an adequate supply of tickets and wristbands at the start of each shift.
- Keep the work area organized and presentable.
- Provide discounts to eligible visitors, such as military personnel and park staff.
- Conduct safety checks throughout the park and ensure compliance with established rules.
- Address visitor concerns effectively and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to support the overall operations of the park.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends, holidays, and special events. Shifts typically range from 8 to 12 hours.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position include:
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments for the duration of the shift.
- Capability to perform job functions that involve sitting, standing, and using a cash register and computer for extended periods.
- Occasional need to ascend and descend stairs.
- Ability to lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Visual acuity to perform tasks requiring close and distance vision.
