KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves as the lead for Security Officers, Senior Officers, and other personnel assigned to various locations; ensures adherence to all operational guidelines, completion of required patrols, and submission of necessary documentation; alerts appropriate authorities and clients during emergencies.
Provides coaching and corrective feedback to team members as necessary; consults with management or designated representatives for guidance; conducts one-on-one meetings with staff to document performance discussions.
Facilitates training for Security Officers and other staff; reviews operational guidelines and assignment specifics with team members.Assists in the preparation of payroll and personnel data for the organization as required.
In collaboration with management or designated representatives, guarantees sufficient staffing for all roles and responsibilities.
Prepares, organizes, and submits various reports as mandated.
Conducts inspections of assigned areas as scheduled and engages with team members to clarify tasks and expectations.
Engages with client representatives as needed to ensure all security protocols are fulfilled and to deliver exceptional customer service.
As required, in alignment with company policies and in compliance with applicable laws, executes supervisory responsibilities that may encompass: interviewing, onboarding, and training staff; planning, delegating, and overseeing work; evaluating and providing feedback on performance; recognizing and addressing employee issues; resolving conflicts; and making recommendations regarding hiring and termination.
May undertake the responsibilities of a Security Officer as per operational guidelines and company policy.Qualifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to fulfill the essential functions of the role, as determined by the organization.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in retail is preferred.Skills and Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):
May be required to maintain and meet the standards for any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing for Security Officers.
Understanding of supervisory practices and procedures.
Ability to provide effective guidance and inspire performance.
Knowledge of various security and safety devices and systems.
Capacity to learn swiftly and execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
Ability to manage and maintain scheduling assignments.
Capability to function as an effective team member.
Ability to maintain professionalism when confronted with unusual circumstances.
Courteous communication skills.
Ability to adapt to different locations and changes in operational procedures.
Ability to compose routine correspondence, including logs and reports.
Strong organizational abilities.
