Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at a Nursing Facility in Flemington, NJ. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care and rehabilitation services.
Responsibilities:
- Attend and contribute to patient care, staffing conferences, and other required meetings as a representative of physical therapy.
- Responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services, adherence to an established plan of care, department, and patient(s)' schedule, and timely documentation of services.
- Work with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement programs and activities consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient.
- Act as an assistant to the Physical Therapist when performing tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
- Instruct patients, families, and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the physical therapy treatment program under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
- Maintain appropriate and timely documentation for all patients treated.
- Clean, maintain, identify, and report the need for repair of equipment, as necessary.
- Puts Patient Service First: Ensures that patients and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights.
- Implements a patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Physical Therapist.
- Provides individualized physical therapy treatments, including but not limited to:
- Airway clearance techniques
- Integumentary repair and protection
- Use of electrotherapeutic, physical agent, and mechanical modalities
- Organizes and facilitates treatment groups in collaboration with the physical therapist.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements:
- Current PA State Physical Therapist Assistant License
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a short-term and/or Long-term rehab
- Must have 1 year experience in SNF
- Solid knowledge of healthcare industry and related guidelines
- Excellent communication skills in both oral and written forms
- Excellent organization, analytical, and time management skills
- Experience in strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
