Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team at Hrgo Driving in Bedford, MK44 2FQ. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Catering Manager and Head Chef in the preparation and service of all dishes on the menu.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an exceptionally high standard of food production, service, and food hygiene.
  • Be conversant with craft skills, menu knowledge, presentation, and display of foods, and assist in the training and development of residents working in the Catering Department.
  • Maintain the preparation and work area in a clean and hygienic condition at all times and thoroughly clean these areas, including equipment, after each service.
  • Assist in the preparation and service of any functions required.
  • Observe all statutory health and hygiene regulations and report any hazards encountered at work.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene.
  • Attend the family unit during a main meal time on an ad hoc basis.
  • Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of running the kitchen.
  • Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a food hygiene certificate.
  • Have experience working within the catering industry.

Working Hours:

This role will be 3 days on and 3 days off, 7am to 7pm, requiring weekend work.
