Position Overview

The Environmental Services Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety in both patient and non-patient areas within the healthcare facility. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for all. The associate will actively engage in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to established protocols and procedures. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute thorough cleaning and disinfection of designated areas following a systematic cleaning protocol.
  • Implement infection control measures by observing universal precautions and safety protocols during task execution.
  • Organize and maintain equipment, storage areas, and supply closets in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Comply with hospital and departmental guidelines and procedures.
  • Identify and communicate needs for equipment maintenance and facility repairs.
  • Embrace Service First principles in all interactions.
  • Maintain required competencies as mandated by the hospital.
  • Achieve assigned performance goals.
Qualifications and Experience

Education

Minimum: Ability to communicate effectively in standard English, both written and verbally, to ensure high levels of productivity and efficiency. Competence in legibly documenting information as required for job functions.

Experience

Preferred: A minimum of three years of experience in healthcare housekeeping is desirable.
