Phlebotomy Professional - Part-time Days DC

About the Opportunity: Join our team as a Phlebotomist and contribute to providing excellent patient care in a fast-paced laboratory environment. This part-time role involves collecting blood samples, processing specimens, and maintaining accurate records. Approximately 24 hours per week, with various shifts including Monday through Thursday 4pm - 8pm and Saturday (1st and 3rd) 7:30am - 1:00pm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply phlebotomy techniques to collect blood samples from patients.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of specimen collection and processing.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
  • Participate in continuing education to stay current with best practices in phlebotomy and laboratory procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., biology, chemistry) or completion of a phlebotomy training program.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a laboratory environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Average salary range: $42,000 - $52,000 annually.
