Role Summary
The Level II Computed Radiographer plays a crucial role in our organization, with responsibilities that include:
- Conducting Level II Computed Radiography inspections and various NDE assessments in accordance with company protocols.
- Operating and maintaining Computed Radiography equipment, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Calibrating testing apparatus and materials to meet operational standards.
- Managing radiation safety protocols and calculating radiation zones effectively.
- Applying testing criteria based on relevant specifications and standards, and analyzing results accordingly.
- Interpreting and evaluating product outcomes against construction codes or client specifications.
- Documenting and organizing test results comprehensively.
- Producing high-quality radiographs consistently.
- Meeting travel requirements as necessary.
- Managing project timelines and deliverables efficiently.
- Engaging with client representatives on a daily basis.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures in all deliverables.
- Implementing and overseeing safety measures throughout project execution.
- Training assistants in accordance with industry standards and company practices.
- Adhering to deadlines set by management or clients.
- Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor during projects.
- Performing any additional tasks necessary to fulfill Level II responsibilities.
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Level II Computed Radiography certification.
- Valid State Radiographer's card or IRRSP certification.
- A minimum of 80 hours of documented training in Radiography Level I and II.
- A minimum of 40 hours of documented training in Computed Radiography.
- 16 hours of documented training in CR Software/Hardware (GE/Waygate or VMI preferred).
- Familiarity with relevant welding codes such as ASME, API, AWS, etc.
- Documented experience managing projects as a Level II Computed Radiographer.
- Valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background checks in accordance with company policies.
- Compliance with the company's Drug/Alcohol, Fit for Duty, and Ergonomic Testing policies.
- Successful completion of the company's Level II Computed Radiography certification process.
- ANST/ACCP Level II certifications in MT, PT, UTT, or equivalent documented training.
- Ability to successfully complete the company's Level II MT, PT, and UTT certification processes.
