Maintenance Technician II

At Young Life, we're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our camp facilities, equipment, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and direct maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory management.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, buildings, and grounds, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry tasks.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure optimal facility performance and minimize downtime.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in maintenance and operations, preferably in a camp or resort setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to motivate and direct staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and flexible attitude.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting, with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position that requires living in close proximity to the camp. The ideal candidate will be able to convey a sense of Christ-like hospitality and concern for guests and staff, and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
