Job Summary:
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse I-Ecc Emergency Care-Full Time plays a vital role in assessing patient/family health problems and resources, taking a leadership role in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing plan of care provided by the nursing team. This position requires providing technical nursing care and interventions to a designated patient population, demonstrating an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individuals served.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient/family health problems and resources, developing a comprehensive plan of care.
- Provide technical nursing care and interventions to a designated patient population, prioritizing workflow on a daily basis.
- Communicate effectively in written and spoken form with individuals of various education levels, including physicians, interpreting medical terminology and possessing an understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure seamless care delivery, adhering to the Department's Scope of Practice.
- Participate in Performance Improvement initiatives, supporting the CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital's strategic plan and goals.
Requirements:
- Current Louisiana RN License
- Current BLS
- ACLS & PALS within 3 months of hire
- De-Escalation certification TNCC certification preferred
- One-year recent experience preferred
