Parkland Medical Center NH is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our Emergency Department team. As a Travel Nurse RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to emergency department patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the physician.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Active compact license in the state of employment.
- 2 years of experience in a hospital setting, with a focus on emergency department care.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to work a weekend/holiday rotation.
- 19-bed emergency department with 6 hall and 6 sub-waiting room.
- Patient ratios: 1:5.
- Procedures performed on unit: moderate sedation, central line placement, chest tube placement, IV insertion, lab draw, POC testing, EKGs, respiratory treatments.
- Dress code: dark blue scrubs.
- Unit staffing description: ED tech (secretary), AEMT, paramedics.
- Type of equipment: GE monitors, Lucas 3, Glidescope, EV 1000, level 1 infuser.
- Documentation system: Meditech.
- Patient experience requirements: whiteboard usage, keeping patients informed, patients/families feel cared for.
- Awards/recognition: stroke certification, cath lab, trauma level 3.
