Role Summary: We are in search of an innovative and enthusiastic Project Management Specialist to oversee various projects aligned with our organization's four key focus areas. If you are passionate about enhancing the community in North St. Louis and possess project management expertise, this position may be a great fit for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date project schedule and critical path, identifying and reporting any delays.
  • Communicate key project milestones to relevant internal teams, board members, and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate directly with subcontractors' office and field personnel.
  • Assist in managing the bidding, review, and award processes as necessary.
  • Develop scopes of work and pay scales for bidding purposes.
  • Compile necessary documents and plans for bid packages.
  • Calculate quantities from construction plans for budgeting and bidding.
  • Review and comprehend land development contracts awarded to subcontractors for development initiatives.
  • Represent the North Star organization in on-site meetings, including on behalf of senior management when required.
  • Oversee, review, and submit purchase orders for approval related to ongoing projects.
  • Monitor current market pricing for budget development and identify any budget shortfalls.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and national codes, ordinances, and regulations, as well as organizational policies.
  • Perform administrative duties as required by North Star executives.
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to enhance customer relations and further the organization's mission.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • May have supervisory responsibilities through various contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in development is preferred.
  • Experience with nonprofit organizations is advantageous.
  • Experience in a startup environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • A commitment to the organization's mission and the advancement of the St. Louis community.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and plan effectively.
  • Capacity to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, consistently meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in technology, including hardware, software, and databases.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000

Reports To: Operations Manager & CEO

Candidates must be located in the St. Louis area. This position offers a hybrid work environment.
