Job Summary

As a seasoned carpentry professional, you will oversee and manage carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring work is completed according to specifications and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Supervise and manage carpentry projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to specifications.
  • Team Supervision: Lead and mentor a team of carpenters, apprentices, and laborers, delegating tasks and ensuring quality workmanship.
  • Construction Expertise: Perform advanced carpentry tasks, including framing, installing doors, windows, cabinetry, trim work, and custom woodworking.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute projects according to design specifications.
  • Materials Management: Order and manage materials, tools, and equipment needed for each job, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Quality Control: Inspect work regularly to ensure adherence to safety standards, building codes, and project requirements.
  • Problem-Solving: Address on-site issues or complications, offering solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing concerns as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Typically 5+ years of carpentry experience, including supervisory or lead roles.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in all aspects of carpentry, knowledge of building codes, and the ability to use a variety of carpentry tools and equipment.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong ability to manage a team, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure.
  • Education/Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent, with trade school or certifications being a plus.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods.
