As a Registered Nurse in our Endoscopy Unit at Kaiser Permanente's Capitol Hill location, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our team and work collaboratively with our healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, including pre-procedure preparation, procedure performance, and post-procedure recovery.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop strategies to address any identified concerns.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to these interventions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practices.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Washington.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience in endoscopy or gastroenterology nursing, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
