Parking Cashier Job Description

Job Summary:

The City of Huntsville's Parking Department is seeking a qualified Parking Cashier to join our team. As a Parking Cashier, you will be responsible for operating a computerized cash register at a parking garage and receiving cash, validated tickets, and parking passes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a computerized cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Receive and process cash, validated tickets, and parking passes.
  • Provide excellent customer service to parkers and respond to their inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the cash register area and surrounding areas.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma from a school accredited by a regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or GED certificate issued by the appropriate state agency.
  • Some experience as a cashier is preferred.
